DAY 01 Katmandu – Zangmu (2300 m, 130 km):
Today early drive from Katmandu to Kodari (6 hours) do the immigration and then drive further to ZANGMU. Again do the immigration formalities and check into hotel.
DAY 02 Zangmu - Xegar (4350 m, 244 km):
Today drive early to Xegar via Lalung la and Naylam pass 3800m. The drive along this passes has the best views of mountains. Reach Xegar in the evening and check into hotel Everest.
DAY 03 Xegar - Shegatse(3900 m, 250 km):
Today drive approx 8 hours to reach Shigatse the place of famous Tashillonpo Monastery and seat of Panchen Lama untill his death in 1989. With it’s huge Thanks wall which is clearly visible on the north side of the road. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 04 Shigatse - Gyantse (3950 m, 100 km):
Today in the morning visit Tashillonpo Monastery and free market of Shigatse. Later in the afternoon prepare for 2 - 3 hours drive to Gyantse. Here you visit Kumbum Stupaand Palkhor monastery. Over night at hotel Gyantse.
DAY 05 Gyantse - Lhasa (3650, 259 km):
Today drive of 8hours via Yamdroktso a Torquise lake on the way and passing two magnificent passes KORALA AND KHAMBALA, highest being 5010 m. Reach Lhasa and check into hotel.
DAY 06 Lhasa Tour.
DAY 07 One more day in Lhasa.
DAY 08 Transfer to Gaonggar Airport:
Today drive 2 hours to reach Airport and then flight of 1 hour fifteen minutes will bring you back to Katmandu. The flight from Gaonggar to Katmandu is one of the most beautiful flight in the world.
