Known to the native as “DRUK YUL” (The Land of Thunder Dragon), Bhutan is regarded as the last paradise on earth. It’s isolation, spectacular mountain views, varied flora and fauna, ancient Buddhist monasteries, vibrant culture and mystic aura have made so.
Though small in size, the kingdom’s topography is one of dramatic contrast. From the near tropical southern border with India at an altitude of 300m, the land rise to culminate in the over 7000m peaks of the Himalayas in the north which form a natural frontier with the Tibetan region of Bhutan’s northern neighbor China. In the undiluted culture and tradition of Bhutan is an added attraction for outsiders. Bhutan has much more to offers from cultural festivals to adventures like rafting and many beautiful trekking. This Buddhist kingdom has succeeded in preserving its timeless traditions and traditions and ancestral way of life to the modern life. |

Khangri Treks & Tours will apply for the visas, which will take a minimum of 7working days to process. It is mandatory for a tourist to get visa clearance before departing for Bhutan. For the visa processment following details to be fax us at least 10 days before your arrival.

The visa will be issue upon arrival at the entry point either at Phuntsholling or Paro airport on payment of US$20. Also 2 passport size photos are required. Entry points into Bhutan are by road through Phuentsholing in the south, or by air in Paro. Druk Air, the national carrier is linked to six cities in five countries. There are four flights a week from Bangkok, three flights a week from Kolkotta, two flights a week from New Delhi and Katmandu, and one flight a week from Dhaka and Yangon. It is also mandatory that one must fly Druk air at least once either fly in or fly out. |
